12/17/09: Performing Arts Looks Towards Greening Industry
On Friday, January 8, 2010, Arts Presenters, in partnership with the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and leading consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, will hold a press conference to announce the findings and analysis of the first study of greening in the performing arts industry. In a rapidly changing environment, Arts Presenters and its partners seeks to both raise awareness and activate change within the industry, and the individuals and communities it serves to collectively move towards sustainability.

1/11/2010: Performing Leaders Honored at 2010 Annual Arts Presenters Conference
The Association of Performing Arts Presenters (Arts Presenters) honored leaders in the arts industry at the 53rd Annual Members Conference. As Master of Ceremonies, national business leader and arts philanthropist, Adrienne Arsht led an inspiring and dynamic awards ceremony. The 2010 APAP Conference NYC is the premier global arts marketplace and network for the performing arts industry and convened nearly 4,000 conference attendees from all over the country and around the world, over 400 exhibitors and showcased over 1,000 performances at this year's conference.
1/11/2010: Arts Presenters and MetLife Foundation to Award $40,000 at 2010 Annual APAP Members Conference
The Association of Performing Arts Presenters (Arts Presenters) and MetLife Foundation announced the 2010 Arts Presenters/MetLife Arts Access Awards recipients today at the 53rd APAP NYC Conference Awards Luncheon Monday, January 11. Four $10,000 awards were presented to performing arts organizations that have been exemplary in their dedication and approach to either engaging individuals with disabilities to experience and value the performing arts, or engaging underserved individuals and communities that lack access to the performing arts and cultural life.
1/7/2010: APAP Conference NYC 2010 Special Focus: Performing Arts Industry Looks to Greener Pastures in the New Year
Performing arts organizations are determined to make a positive impact on the environment. That is one of several key findings released today from the first industry-wide study of greening in the performing arts, commissioned by Arts Presenters, in partnership with the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and leading consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton. The survey, designed to examine the performing arts industry's attitudes and perceptions towards environmental issues, collected empirical data from 324 organizations. 83 percent of respondents said their organizations have implemented green initiatives, but only 24 percent have formalized green policies and goals in their organizations. One-third of respondents cited a lack of resources as the main barrier to going green.
11/11/09: The Public Theater and Association of Performing Arts Presenters Announce 2010 Line-Up For Under The Radar
The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson), Producer Mark Russell and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (Executive Producer) announced the largest and most expansive line-up for UNDER THE RADAR 2010, running January 6-17 at The Public Theater as well as partner venues. This 12-day festival, coinciding with the New York APAP conference, is committed to tracking new theater from across the U.S. and around the world. Tickets are $15 to UNDER THE RADAR shows at The Public and go on-sale on Tuesday, December 1.
