Broadway Task Force – Building on work begun last fall, Arts Presenters is continuing to convene a task force of members engaged in representing, booking, and managing Broadway-style musicals and other large-scale touring events with multiple performances. NEA Recovery Grants for State and Regional Arts Agencies – On April 10, the National Endowment for the Arts announced $19.8 million in one-time grants under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) to state arts agencies and regional arts organizations to support the arts sector of the economy. Arts Presenters Remembers – We were saddened to learn that Geof English, a beloved former Director of Performing Arts at Saddleback College for 25 years and Arts Presenters member, passed away unexpectedly on April 4th at his home in Laguna Niguel. He was 53. We send our condolences to Geof's family and friends. We will deeply miss Geof and thank him for his important contributions to the presenting field. » Read more
