Time to Recalibrate or Replace Your Wireless Microphones – Arts Presenters members and other arts organizations will soon be forced to recalibrate or replace wireless microphones and other backstage communications equipment. As we have been reporting, this is due to the fact that the FCC has auctioned off a specific portion of the broadcast spectrum's "white space" – channels 52-69, roughly between 700 and 800 MHz frequencies. Most of the nation's theater's, concert halls, churches, and other types of public assembly halls have utilized the white space for nearly 50 years. The FCC and Members of Congress are now helping to determine a way forward, but we are now concerned that disruptions will occur. » Read more about it
