Calling All Volunteers

Arts Presenters depends on a small group of talented volunteers to ensure a successful APAP Conference each year. In addition to helping your membership association, volunteering is a great way to meet peers and colleagues you wouldn't normally get a chance to chat with. Want to volunteer, but are not sure where your time is best served? These descriptions will help you get a better sense of our areas of greatest need.

Credentials Committee

Volunteers on the Credentials Committee help monitor the entrances of various conference functions to ensure that all attendees have the appropriate conference badges. By participating on this committee, you help Arts Presenters continue to provide the professional business atmosphere that our members have come to value.

Mentoring Committee

Mentoring is a crucial element of the APAP Conference and doesn't take much of your time. Mentors communicate with their assigned new colleagues once before the conference, and then join us at the New Colleagues' Orientation in New York to meet with more first-timers and participate in a roundtable discussion. Mentors help perpetuate the traditions of collegiality, collaboration and continuous professional development in the field, allowing you to form relationships with the field's newest practitioners and assist peers in prioritizing materials and information.

Welcome Desk

The Welcome Desk is a vital service at the conference. Located across from the registration desk in the newly expanded Book Store and open during conference registration hours, the Welcome Desk serves as an information hub for all things related to Arts Presenters, the APAP Conference, New York City, and the Hilton Hotel. Help your colleagues find everything from the opening plenary to Brooklyn!
